Cowtown Water Polo's Coaching Staff

Coach John Ausdenmore

Coach John Ausdenmore first started playing water polo in 2007 when he was in the 8th grade. He then swam and played water polo at Carroll High School from 2008-2012 on one of Carroll's original teams.  He also was a Carroll swimmer that specialized in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle.

Upon graduating from Carroll, John attended Oklahoma State University, where he was both a player/coach and president of the OSU Water Polo Club for 3 years. He graduated with an Aerospace Engineering degree from the university in 2016, and after a few years away from the sport, John has gotten back in the pool to play Masters Water Polo for Cowtown as well as coach the U18 teams.

Coach Max Remaley

Coach Max Remaley started playing water polo during his freshman year at Conroe High School before moving to the Keller areas.  While at Keller HIgh, he helped to start the Keller Water Polo team with a couple of his friends. During that time, he also was a member of the Thunder Water Polo National team 2017-2018.  Currently, Coach Max is a member of the Cowtown Masters team while attending the University of Texas in Arlington.  He coaches the 14u and 12u athletes for Cowtown Water Polo. 

Coach Izzy Sonday

Coach Izzy Sonday  first began playing water polo during her sophomore year of high school in 2016 and played through her senior year in 2018 for Keller High School.  She joined Thunder Water Polo in the spring of her junior year of high school in 2017 and played through most of her senior year. Currently, Izzy is a swimmer for a  Division III for College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, MN,.  Izzy currently plays on the Cowtown Masters team while coaching the 14u and 12u teams.

Coach's Bio

Coach Keeley Lowery began her coaching career in 1994 where she coached girl’s basketball and volleyball at Teague Middle School.  Once her children arrived, her coaching focus shifted from coaching in the school setting to coaching the teams in which her children played.  Her repertoire expanded throughout those years to include soccer, boy’s basketball and softball. 

In 2012, she became the Thunder Board President where she remained helping grow the sport of water polo until the end of 2018.  During her time with Thunder Water Polo, she took on an additional hat when she joined the coaching staff of in 2016 where she began coaching water polo.  While on staff Coach Lowery was the Head Coach at the Southlake practice location as well as a Age Group Coach on the National Team for Thunder.

In 2017, Coach Lowery returned back to coaching in the school system when she became an assistant water polo coach for the Carroll High School teams.  For the past two years, Coach Lowery has been the head coach of both the men’s and women’s teams for Southlake Carroll Water Polo.  The Lady Dragons placed 2nd at the Texas State tournament in 2019 and 2018, while the Dragons finished 4th at the State Tournament in 2019.

Not only is Coach Lowery active at the pool, she also teaches preAP and AP Biology at Carroll High School.  She has been a teacher in Carroll for the past 15 years and was a finalist for the Texas State Teacher of the Year in 2009.
